Friedhof Salnau. Am 24.Juni 1915 ist Benedikt Herbst, zeitlich in der früh auf die Wiese mähen gegangen. Als später sein Weib hingekommen ist, lag dort die Sense, der Mann war aber nicht dort. Er war Kopfleidend, war ungerne auf der Welt, und weil er unehelich geboren war, so machte er seine Mutter   deshalb Vorwürfe. Am 22. Juli 1917 hat sein Skelett ein Hagner in einer Höhle auf der höchsten Höhe in Schwarzwalde gefunden.
